A couple of notes about file transfers...

Please ensure that all artwork for print is supplied in line with these specifications. Artwork received that is not in line with these specifications may be subject to amend charges. Speedscreen cannot accept responsibility for print errors or late deliveries where artwork has been supplied incorrectly.

Format: Ideally all files supplied for print should be in high resolution pdf format. Alternatively high res files can be supplied in open file format, InDesign CC but must be packaged with all links and fonts.

Setup: Please ensure all files are supplied in the correct size, i.e.: A4, 210mm x 297mm. Artwork supplied in the incorrect size may incur an amendment charge. Also large artwork which has a very large printed area should be supplied as either 10% or 25% of size to reduce the use of very large sized files which in turn can cause slower printing times.

Any artwork which needs to be cut to shape must be supplied as a path on a separate layer and in a spot colour called cutter.

Bleed: All files supplied should have ideally 5mm of bleed with crop marks. 3mm bleed is the minimum accepted amount. Artwork supplied with no bleed may be subject to a charge to correct this.

Resolution: All images supplied should ideally have a resolution of 300 dpi at 100% but a resolution of 100 dpi may be acceptable depending on the quality of the image supplied. Speedscreen can advise where necessary if required but are not responsible for images which print in low quality if an image is below 100 dpi.

Type: All text supplied in high res pdf format should be outlined. If files are supplied in InDesign CC format then they should be packaged with the job.

Colours: All colours should ideally be supplied in CMYK. Colours supplied in RGB colour space will be converted to CMYK printing profile via our Caldera RIP. Any Pantone spot colours should be coloured up correctly and can be colour matched as close as possible.

Please make sure any black text or vector elements are coloured up as a Spot colour named Spot Black and have the following breakdown. 20% Cyan, 20% Magenta, 20% Yellow and 100% Black.

Supply of artwork: Artwork can be supplied via email if under 10 mb in size or alternatively please submit below

Re-supplying of artwork: We aim to check and prepare for print all artwork as soon as it is received but if you need to amend your artwork and re-supply it you must phone the office to arrange this. Speedscreen cannot accept any responsibility if incorrect versions are printed when multiple versions have been supplied and where no telephoned instructions have been given. If the files are complex and take significant time to prepare for print a charge may be made for re-supplied files.

Confirmation: Artwork will only be processed on receipt of an order confirmation and in the case of new customers, payment may be required. No work will commence until a signed off artwork approval is received from the customer.
